Sound knowledge of design and drawing practices / standards, engineering materials, manufacturing processes and a safety critical awareness.
Consistency, attention to detail, good communication and documentation / technical authorship skills. Project engineering / management skills with a history of working on / bringing in projects to time and to budget would be advantageous.
Enthusiastic, organised and self motivated with minimum of 5 years experience of design of small precision components / products / mechanisms. A knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes is essential.
Familiarity with oil-field / aerospace / medical environments is an advantage but not essential.
